The Wizard Driver shouted as it projected a magical barrier that stopped the energy from Haruto's hand.

The Phantom ended it's attack and Haruto switched rings again, seizing on the opportunity by going for his final attack. "You may want to get in some more licks, but first you'll have to take my kicks!" He retorted, joining in the creature's rhythmic gimmick to mock it as he activated the Driver once more. "KICK STRIKE, PLEASE!" It bellowed as it projected a magical target on The Phantom's abdomen that Haruto hit dead center with his trademark game winning spin kick.

They transformed into their humanoid form and let out a hearty laugh. "Hahahaha! Where are all of you going? The fun's just getting started!"

Suddenly a shot from a Blaster rang out and it felt the energy strike them in the chest, they looked down first in shock and then up in anger. "Ugh, what the-?" They said as they took in the sight of a Pink Power Ranger standing on the bridge before them.

"That's far enough, Monster!" The Ranger said as she summoned a weapon that looked like a drill and pointed it at them. Eyeguy made a pose to look taken aback at this and mockingly said "Monster? Missy, you oughta look at things the way I see them!"

She asked with only a slight hint of sarcasm as she began to float away. The man was clearly flustered and began awkwardly stammering back at her "Uhhh, I mean thanks, I mean not really no, but, well... It was just really cool meeting you and it'd be neat to do this sometime without the dying part, so could I maybe get your number?" She paused for a moment, making a great effort not to roll her eyes and gave her standard customer service voiced reply of "Sorry, no, I don't give it out while I'm on the job, but you have a nice day." She turned away to fly off before turning her head back with the "now drop it" smile Lois had taught her and added. "And stay away from ledges for a while!" She took off at what felt like about eighty miles per hour while thinking to herself. "Rao above, that's the third time this week!"

The two Spartans stood silently next to each other silently for a near unboreable amount of time, finally Gamma decided to break the silence with what he thought would be a fun conversation starter. "Hey, you ever wonder why we're here?" Tango took his time before replying "...No."

Gamma was shocked and quickly asked "What, why not?" Tango rolled his eyes within his helmet and gave him the curt answer of "Because I'm a professional Soldier and I follow my orders without issue." Gamma thought this was nothing more then an attempt to dismiss him so he once again pressed Tango with "Oh come on, you've never wondered what was so important about this bridge?!" "No, how am I supposed to know anyway? Neither of us are anywhere near command, for all we know it's some general's favorite spot, or maybe the brutes need it to sneak behind our lines." Tango shot back, clearly becoming annoyed with him. "The Brutes, who are they?" Gamma asked, sounding genuinely unsure of what Tango was talking about.

This baffled Tango who angrily demanded. "What?! How do you? Have you paid attention to anything over the last couple weeks?! They're big, freaky gorilla aliens that wanna destroy the whole universe!" "Not the whole universe, just the parts with you baboons in it." A gruff voice from behind of them put in. "Exactly! Wait, wha-?" Tango said, suddenly turning his head after the first word to check who had spoken. He gaped as he took in the sight of a huge brute wielding some kind of massive war hammer standing on a bridge.

"Oh shit, is that?!" "Just shoot it!" They to one another so quickly it was impossible to tell who had spoken first. They opened fire on the beast but the bullets ricochet right off it's tough skin as it raised the war hammer and uttered a guttural war cry before sweeping the weapon downward in an arc that connected and sent the both of them flying back into a nearby rockface, knocking them unconscious.

He stroke a power pose and began to speak in his usual high pitched tone. "Listen up my sumptuous snakelets, what stands before you now is not only the glorious visage of your commander but the next step in the fight for your rights as sovereign citizens of Cobra, the Cobra Viper! An elite special forces unit with triple the training of any one of you, capable of taking down a projected 30 enemy combatants all on their own! From this point on, one Viper will be implanted in every squad of Cobra Troopers because we in the leadership core believe it will lead to a sixty five percent increase in mission success. This gentlemen here will be joining your squadron, his name is... uh, er... It's..." He began to trail off in a manner that made everyone in the room feel a little awkward and unsure of how to proceed, only to be saved by the very trooper he was introducing. "Dave sir, David Montgomery Lotterin." he filled in. The Commander came back to attention like a suddenly fixed animatronic and continued "Yes, David! Very good! Have fun mingling with your new squad mates everyone, I'm off to go give this speech a few dozen more times..." He trailed off before turning and strolling out of the room, leaving the others starring at each other for a few moments before Dave the Viper piped up with "So uhhh, anyone wanna see a funny video of one of the other Viper trainees tripping over their own rifle straps?" and his new squad mates all excitedly gave an affirmative as they gathered around him.

The squad poured into the cave muffled sounds of battle pounded against the walls, each going to their own corner to tend to a matter. Cover Girl and Roadblock saw about splitting his leg, the remaining Soldier started trying to radio command for an evac and Doc tended to the Cobra Trooper they had captured, or at least he tried to until Dusty came up to him.

"I can't believe you're helping that that guy when Roadblock's got a broken leg." he commented in an accusing tone. "Cover Girl's doing just fine taking care of Roadblock and this guy's lost a lot of blood so I think I know where my focus should be." Doc replied without even looking up from his medical bag.

"Let him loose it, that scum shot three of our guys, he deserves to be in the ground!" Dusty shouted back, pointing his finger at the Trooper as if he was trying to scare the semi conscious man.

Doc stood up and took his glasses off, placing them against Dusty's chest while unholstering his taser he looked his fellow Joe in the eyes and said "Boy, I don't care what he did, this trooper, this man is the first Cobra operative we've been able to capture in months and we need whatever intel he has. More then that he's a human being and I took an oath to never let a human life slip through my fingers if it's at all possible, no matter who's life it is. So you can ether take your anger and go sit in the corner for it while we wait for them to send someone to get us, or I can take this taser and shove it so far up your back side, your dentist will be pulling wires out of your teeth, which is it gonna be?"

Kat ran out from behind the rocks she had been crouching behind, she unclipped her last grenade from it's spot on her lower torso armor and raised it high as heavy rounds began hitting all around her. "You've only got one shot at this Spartan, so make it count!" she thought to herself as she took aim and wound her arm back. She scanned the Jackal crewed Phantom before spotting one of it's doors open to reveal a squad of Grunts preparing to deploy and the ship's controls just behind them. "There!" she thought and flung the grenade as hard as she could, it flew through the air and collided with one of the Grunt's heads, bouncing up and into the door where it ricocheted once more to fall back into the ship's innards where it detonated, triggering a chain reaction that saw the Phantom plummet into the gorge below.
