Well swapping in the capacitor does seem to have fixed the second bad 12V PSU, it's piping out 12V happy as can be, even when transmitting.

Phone picturs of a messy workbench in the middle of a few projects. My radio alarm clock made in 2001 is sitting open in the middle with a soldering iron, resistors and hand tools all around it.

A picture of one of my storage cabinet with 60 tiny drawers containing a different value resistor. I own resistors ranging from 10 ohm all the way up to 2.2 mega ohm. It's projects like this one that makes me happy I kept most of the parts and tools I've accumulated over the years. And gained knowledge from experience, too!

My 25 years old radio alarm clock was randomly jumping to 100% volume. So I pulled the volume pot out of it and replaced it with fixed resistors. I tuned the values for a low volume. Now I get to fall asleep to local FM radio without jump scares!

A paper bow that lifts your gift I've made my mom & dad an Easter gift this week (it's something that I want to share in more detail with you guys later on). When I wrapped it in pink polka dot tissue paper, I remembered a blog post of mine that I recently edited, where a recycled paper flower adorned a birthday gift (also for my mom). I decided to replicate that bow idea for this gift (about 19 years later), but using paper of a roll of yellow gift wrap.

A 3 inch long needle with the top half inch bent to 45 degrees. It shows book signatures zigzag stitched together with the needle catching three stitches at a time in a horizontal zigzag stitch across the binding of the book spine.

Continuing my bookbinding adventures, hand sewing my signatures together. I'm using a curved upholstery needle. It can be found in the African haircare section for weaves. It's cheap and easy to find. Keep bookbinding accessible!
