#gameDev #DailyBug I tried out the full build on my Mac Studio today. Video does not work on Unity 6.x SRP builds on my Mac Studio.😟 HDRP and Built-In RP build work fine. Unity 23.x SRP builds work fine. The 6.x SRP builds work fine on my old MacBook w/Intel chip. Everything works in the editor.

#GameDev #DailyBug It was bug in my code yesterday and bad data in my placement of buildings. So here is a busy city with the building randomly but evenly distributed.

#GameDev The building were supposed to distributed randomly but roughly evenly around inside a large box. #DailyBug they are clumping at the top and the box is to big for the number of buildings. I think it just a setup data bug not a code bug. Hopefully I can fix it today.

#GameDev #dailyBug The NPC starts on the path outside the top left building and is supposed to walk along the path to grey sphere on dark brown path near the center of the screen. He is not supposed jump of ledges even if does a nice forward roll on landing sometimes.

#GameDev A couple of 9 building clusters with random placement. #DailyBug missing paths. I'm not sure it is a bug yet, as I have not written the code to check missing paths.

#GameDev #DailyBug Earlier I found a bug in an asset not joining up nicely with another asset. Now I have a real code bug and I can call my day complete. Two green circles in the red circles are door markers. One has a line which shows how to connect to the path grid. The other does not, a bug.

#GameDev Today I made the initial random placement of buildings. Still needs more work get interesting groups of buildings to form. Found my #DailyBug in my stairs asset this time. Last image is a zoom in on the bottom of two stairs not joining.

#GameDev #DailyBug I could not find a bug today but that does not mean it is not there. Todays code task was to place a building and new paths and then remove them and return the map to its previous state. placing and then removing something does not make for good visuals.

#GameDev #DailyBug Found and squash yesterday bug (left) new paths right. Realized the bug was still there just no just showing in this case. figured out how fix it properly, also less work than my first attempt. Found a new bug, many of the paths have a second copy instantiated on top of the first.

#GameDev #DailyBug No day is complete with a new bug 😁 I pushed the paths further apart. Players hitting their head due a lack of Max Headroom would be so '80s. Now the stairs from the top left bldg to the btm right Bldg stop on the roof where the thin white line ends not in green circle below it.
