Maximillian from Dark Cloud 2 (or Dark Chronicle in some places). One of the two protagonists from a time-travel themed town builder RPG. This is a sprite in the same style of Chrono Trigger or Somewhen (of which draws inspiration form Dark Cloud 2". In the post, some of his quotes were outlined. He is Hopscorch's favorite protagonist due to his inventive and curious nature.

This line haunts me every playthrough. From #DarkChronicle, Max's father states Max never sees anything through, even as an inventor. I took this screenshot in 2016 cause it was the first time I felt personally attacked...
Like, I get it now as an adult. This game meant a lot to my formative years.

A rough sketch of Monica in a japanese-inspired outfit -zipang -ribbon -princess dress sleeves -i feel like Sonobe would add something here, like an armor plate? - socks??? -"shorts" from the striped dress outfit socks replace boot shape (and loos socks were popular in japan in the 90s-2000s so I can imagine Level-5 doing it in 2002 as Dark Cloud 2 likes to mix stuff from different eras - bamboo bags - not sure about the skirt, if i take the games graphic engine into account
I'm still trying to figure out how to make a Japanese-inspired outfit work (to match the Zipangu comb) in DC2's universe. I took into account Monica's proportions and design, as well as the game's graphic engine. Not perfect but I'm getting there!
