The oppressive heat of summer still pounds down here in Brooklyn. Rain brings no relief, but instead leaves the air thicker and more stagnant. Low-flying, cobweb clouds covered the distant Verrazano Bridge as I slogged through my early walk this morning, my thoughts cast back longingly to the recently departed May and its precious temperateness. Such are the pleasures of living in New York City: too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. But as always, I can’t imagine being anywhere else. So with a cool, sonic escape from the oven outside, here’s some more (US) morning mellow.
