Ingwë and Kyrien stand close together. Kyrien is held in by Ingwë’s scythe and the hand grasping the back of his neck. Kyrien is leaning in towards Ingwë, who is looking away in apprehension.
Kyrien is wearing the black armor of the Dark Channeler; Ingwë is wearing the ceremonial black robe of his family - designed with deep red fabric on the train, which resembles butterfly wings.
A close up. Ingwë is tensed as he listens to Kyrien. His deep blue eyes, sightless now that he bears the gift of the Death Knight, linger on the face of his friend. Kyrien, in contrast, is attempting to comfort and reassure Ingwë.
With enough spoken between them, Kyrien closes his eyes and waits peacefully. Ingwë’s expression breaks with sorrow, a hundred years’ grief finally lifting from his shoulders.
Despite everything, Kyrien found mercy and forgiveness; despite everything, Metnal (Ingwë) found hope and the will to begin again with his true name.
A longer distance shot. Kyrien rests one of his hands over Metnal’s on the scythe, the other holds his back. With one gesture, two souls - alike in their darkness - continue onwards towards their own paths, together.
