The mad rush of Berlin slowly falls away and the countryside unfolds as I stare out the window of the speeding train. Trees blur by as the horizon holds steady, majestic greenery stretching off to the distant mountains. The subtle sway and weave of travel slowly sinks into my bones, cradling my exhaustion. These liminal spaces (no longer home, but not yet arrived) always stretch, seemingly endless; simultaneously torturous and enjoyable. But as the clatter and clack of the wheels beneath lull me to sleep, I feel my excitement still growing as I rush closer and closer to my destination. There I will take a leap into the new, guided by my dearest friend; creativity, adventure, and uncertainty all await. With a retroactive soundtrack for this memory, here's some more (US) morning mellow.
