I wasn't able to see #TheBeam at #DiamondLightSource visually but I was able to pick it up faintly on photos. I was located in a muddy farmer's gate entrance on the outskirts of Tackley, 30 miles away as the crow flies from #HarwellCampus so I'm amazed I got it at all! Canon 1100D with 50mm lens

Last week some of our A-Level Science students had a rare & exciting visit to #DiamondLightSource. Diamond is a particle accelerator that uses a beam of electrons travelling at almost the speed of light to create intense, powerful beams of light! What a brilliant day.
