Artmaker Darren holding up a tactile artwork of a sausage sandwich made from felt and seed beads, layered between soft felt “bread” shapes and displayed on a turquoise plate.
Artmaker Darren holding a felt sausage sandwich artwork towards his face, showing soft felt “bread” layers with bead and sequin textures representing the filling.
A sausage sandwich… but make it art. 🧡
Darren created this felt and bead sausage sandwich in the workshop, using tiny seed beads threaded onto wire to form the textured filling.

Close-up of hands using a jeweller’s saw to carefully cut a bird shape from a thin sheet of metal on a workbench.
Artmakers at our Arts and Crafts Centre have been experimenting with techniques in our workshops 🧡
Screen printing, metalwork and wire sculptures are all part of the creative process.

The conference schedule and the dataset shared the same grammar. Both said: here is what we believe time is for, before anyone spoke a word.

Water moving through a concrete house at a pace that suggested it had no intention of leaving.

The exit that looks exactly like the wall beside it isn't a design failure. It's a design choice — someone optimized for atmosphere over navigation, and decided you could figure out the rest.

Most venue "Getting Here" pages tell you how to arrive by mode of transport. None of them tell you which door to use once you're standing outside.

ID WIP Line drawing of part of my Mum's side of the family's coat of arms. Which is depicted in a stained glass window at a museum. I am going ot draw and paint the design. There is a lot of detail so so far I have drawn in the head and neck of a unicorn which is on top of the head piece from armour, Underneath that is a detailed shield divided into numerous sections and subsections with different patterns in each. To the right side of the shield is a unicorn on its hind legs. This is in an oval shape in the centre of the window and around are more panels - Ive not drawn everything in as yet as its so detailed and Mango decided Ide done enough and sat on my lap, refusing to budge, after a couple of hrs!

ID watercolour painting - self portrait of me painting looking very relaxed - I am a white woman with fake red hair, cut in a feather cut. I am wearing a green top printed with an off white pattern, I am sat on a red sofa, leaning against a teal cushion. On my lap is a patchwork cushion and on top of that is my sketch pad with me painting on it , so my near hand is on the pad holding a paint brush and my far hand is holding the sketch pad. I am wearing black trousers with a white line pattern on them, In the background on teh wall is a spider plant.
Positive things in your life was this weeks theme for mental health at the @all4inclusion art session and theme run by the fabulous @disabled_life_2b_lived.

Test print for Hollow man. Hollow man is about emptying yourself of all strong emotions, good and bad. Keeping yourself from getting to high or to low. Giving yourself a greyscale life instead of all red and some blue-green.

ID watercolour painting of Chinese woman with hair up wearing traditional Chinese clothes. She is in a martial arts position with arms outstreched, flat palms facing upwards and thumbs curled in. She is wearing a red tunic with orange sleeves, over a black top and blue trousers. Her forward arm is outstretched to a fire horse, and she has a sugarlump in her outstretched palm which the horse is nuzzling. In the background is a traditional chinese lamp and a waterfall over rocks. Water is supposed to help calm the fire and wildness of the firehorse. The green foreground is representing wood which helps feed the fire and the red lantern is also symbolic. Bringing all into harmony and balance.
Year of The Firehorse. This week's paintinf from me for "Chinese New Year" for @all4inclusion art session run by the fabulous @disabled_life_2b_lived.
