Atri Umbrose is from the Unseelie Court, she comes from a lower-house noble family. She was always curious and a good student - the kind who sneaks into libraries so she can absorb as much knowledge as she possibly could. One day, she stumbles upon a book about the Infernals – it rested atop a lone table in the library, so she picked it up and read it. She’s read about Infernal Devil Princes, the Hells, some common information. Common information that fey shall never see, for they shall not ever be tempted. The Unseelie Court, unbeknownst to her, has banned this book, and she broke the law by reading it - but the Unseelie are nothing if not merciful. They offered her that if she agrees to have that part of her memory erased, she will not face exile. She declined. They stripped her of her surname, as is tradition in the Unseelie for the Court to bestow it on a fey - and they also sealed away most of her magic. She can fly, but not for long distances. And so, she wandered to the edge of the Feywild, to the river where they say it is a path to another realm. The Material Plane. As she stood there, barefoot, wiping her stardust tears, she heard a voice. A low, deep and yet warm tone, but when she looked around, no one was there. No one yet, that is. "You stand between worlds, yet neither claim you. You have no name for me, but I may grant you a name that has been taken from you - and so much more. If only you'd wield my blade, be my eyes. You'll belong. You won't be cast out for curiosity - something even the Hells do not call a sin. You won't be homeless, nameless, without purpose. And if it's secrets you're looking for, little fey, my city has them all." "...Lord Dispater?" She put two and two together, her wings fluttering in recognition. She was just approached by not only an infernal, but an Archduke. The Devil Prince of Dis himself. There was a long pause. "You do know my name after all. Shall I grant you yours?" She swore she heard him smirk.
