Four Halifax restaurants compete to see who has the ‘Best Donair in the World’ Four Halifax-area restaurants went head-to-head Saturday to see which one would earn the title of ‘Best Donair in the World.’

The ‘Great Donair Showdown’ was put on by Corey Good, who is known locally as the “Donair Beast.” Good is in the midst of creating a documentary called “Donairfest” highlighting the iconic Halifax dish.

This tiny restaurant, not even in the tourist area, and their #donair may have given me the best food of the entire trip. I don't even like meat normally. This was 1 of only about 5 times I ate meat the entire trip. I don't know why donair is not more of a thing in Ontario.
