Screen 8 at the Odeon multiplex in Blanchardstown, before a screening of Wicked Little Letters yesterday afternoon.

It turns out that the cuss-fest which is Wicked Little Letters is the perfect wet Sunday afternoon film.
My enjoyment only slightly tempered by the ferocious burrowing of the sandworms of Arrakis in an adjacent screen at the Odeon in Blanchardstown.

#dunept2 pretty jaw dropping visual filmmaking. 3 or 4 moments that stopped my heart. Not perfect, Denis can’t be, but might be a more heartier project because of its imperfections.

Dune pt2 was awesome, go see it. I really hope that they move into the next books: Messiah and Children. Messiah could probably be a single movie. Children probably 2 like Dune ended up being.

So #DunePt2 is epic sci-fi in a way that we rarely see.
The ways that it finds quiet and then overwhelms with sound and sand ... Creates space for wonder.

The cast are fantastic, never overplayed, even as vast swathes of plot are swallowed up by the great worms driving through the storms of ideas

Dreary day today as rain comes pouring down. Thankfully, it will be gone before long . In the meantime , I’m looking forward to next week to catch the 2nd half of Dune in IMAX. Here’s hoping for better days to come. #movies #DunePt2 #IMAX 🫰
