A stunning image of the reflection nebula in Corona Australis. Flowing trails of dust, appearing bluer near bright stars, absorb and reflect light. Dense dust knots, obscuring background stars, indicate molecular clouds where new stars are forming. The nebula is approximately 500 light-years away and spans about 5 degrees.

Hidden by dust in visible light, the cluster reveals itself in infrared, showcasing bright blue stars, glowing gas clouds, and dramatic dark dust lanes. This 10 light-year-wide region is located approximately 5500 light-years from Earth.
