Tried replacing the “grid” glass out of the #EDOT today only to discover the Phoenix Arcade glass paint is super delicate. I’m outside painting the top backglass black border & triple thicking it when dry. I also seem to be missing wood borders at the left & right marquee box.
OMG!!! I was finally able to find the magic balance of settings to get this 22” architecture 4:3 monitor to display the #EDOT animated translite video that @mokthemagicman created last year (I helped a tiny amount).
Finally going to see what I need to do to get this architect quality 22 inch 4:3 monitor into the #EDOT and playing the @mokthemagicman animation as a background.
Just in case it was never mentioned to my arcade nerd friends, but I use a coin up button from #jawhn on my #EDOT to get my free play on.
Finally lunch approaches! I plan to tweak audio a bit more and maybe repeat a few more recognizer passes. #EDOT

As it turns out all of the fixtures that #EDOT turns on programmatically are similar. I did not notice the light that is positioned in front of your feet had its components moved onto the wall in the back. So weird man!
The game boots up occasionally and plays blind. Will need to hook up the monitor to see what’s going on. Lots of hum and crazy audio static when doing non-audio stuff like opening or closing the control panel. Looks good despite blemishes. #EDOT
Moved 4 games to get Chiller and #DiscsOfTRON inside. Here’s where the #EDOT will go while I put all the parts back inside. Got 4 games that need to head to the #Conroe climate controlled fortress.
Cleaning up the #EDOT power brick before I put it back inside. Someone thought those yellow ground straps should screw into the “handles” with wood screws. I disagree.
The #EDOT K4900 monitor works! Focus is not super sharp but will do for now. Rejuvenation apparently helps resolve this focus problem so I may take this guy to Conroe if @Arcadeology is gonna be around.
This cabinet came with a broken 3D lenticular marquee as well as a “flat” 2D translite. If I put in a better patch on the hole I think I may use this one. #discsoftron #edot #arcadegames
Found this photo of the bracket. I can probably fake something for the time being. Where are my #EDOT brothers and sisters at?
Just figured out where to mount everything for the bezel glass and black light and it’s looking legit. Now plug all the lights and speakers back in and figure out if the monitor works. I have a spare just in case. I better be playing some #EDOT this weekend.
We now have a kick plate installed. During lunch I’ll try putting the coin door back on this. The screws will get painted by the way. I painted around the Texas tax sticker. The red truancy sticker didn’t make it but I’ll address that, too.
