Silly thing to fool around with. Take the Fibonacci sequence: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,... but once you get to a double digit number, just keep the ones place (so basically x[n] = (x[n-1] + x[n-2]) mod 10)

1,1,2,3,5,8,3,1,4,5,9,4,3,7,0,7,7,...

when does this sequence begin to repeat?
