SEG also admits:
“It does not guarantee that 100% of their stock is SEG certified.”
So the register is basically a list of people who might sell certified eel sometimes.

“Farmed” eels are not the solution.
Nearly all farms rely on wild-caught juveniles (glass eels).
So “farmed” = wild-depleted.

SEG certifies this system. That’s not conservation — that’s laundering.
