Each time I view this piece, I think of the Partridge Family and the opening theme to the show. While it was a mother bird and her chicks and this is a snail, it just has that 70s vibe to it.

This is clearly an apple, but when I glance at it, it looks like an apple being used as an ashtray and the stem is the cigarette. Then you begin to notice flowers, other fruit, leaves. Love this!

The thing that I enjoy most about art is the ability to transfer focus from one medium to another. Agar was known to use every day items to create pieces, such as this.

She married Hungarian, Joseph Bard and they spent fifty years together, although it seems she had several romantic entanglements, all with other artists, throughout their life together. I love this somewhat whimsical piece shown here!
