The relatively small gates to the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi are open (thus not seen well in the image), but the gates are placed inside a massive entrance that is pink stone bricks with carved motifs and a wide walkway through. The entrance tunnel has a softly pointed apex. Through the entrance in the distance is the Palace, its roofline echoing the shape of the entrance. The sky is blue, and there are a few people standing around. Palms are on each side of the gate once you are within the grounds.

A broad vista of the Emirates Palace and its grounds. We are looking at the main entrance which is a series of levels and stairs. This level has a large walkway of tiled stone which is pink squares with black diamonds at each corner. The walkway is lined with palm trees and benches. People are trying to find a little shade under the palm trees. Further ahead we see stairs leading to the next level, and eventually the palace itself which is large and square/rectangular in shape with many arches. The palace is also a pinkish color. The sky is bright blue. This is a palace, but it is also a hotel. Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
