The dying patient loved #Dodgers, so we decorated the room this way & encouraged the family to put up pictures. So often the critically ill patient we see before us does not tell the story of who they are as a PERSON. Actions like these bring #humanism & #compassion into the #ICU. #hapc #EOLcare

Not a heart transplant candidate, she was tired of an existence that depended on occasional defibrillation shocks and IV medications that restricted her to the CCU room. She requested that everything be turned off...after a final drink. This prosecco was her toast to life & eternity. #EOLcare
