He sounded more hollow than he'd been an hour ago. You nodded. He rolled his eyes, more out of a salty habit than any real emotion, now. You flicked a finger towards him, "Where'd you get the, uh-" "Found it in a locker." A pregnant pause before he slapped the doorframe with his palm twice, his eyes sweeping back toward the cars, "Let's blow this popsicle stand. I don't like it here." He left the doorway and sauntered out toward the bay. You stood with a groan and swiped something from a hook on the wall. Keys jingled from your extended finger as you caught up to him, "Shotgun. I vote we take the Jeep."
