The fibreglass shell is cured. We’ve sawn it into a non-lethal shape, sanded it smooth and cracked it open. The clay has been removed and it’s been thoroughly cleaned. It will finally be siliconed this week!
Then just all the other blummin bits to do.

Fibreglass outer case complete.
Once cured the clay will be removed and silicone inserted into the gap for a complete outer shell.
Time is not on my side… mildly panicking. At least I have my press mould to turn to and more metal shards.

The outer shell has begun! I went for fibreglass and silicone over plaster for longevity and weight.
Today we covered each block mould in clay then got half the fibreglass done.
Finishing off tomorrow.
