Signs of spring arrived in my yard on March 5 this year #firstcrocus #crocus #spring

At the foot of a tree, against bare brown soil, a few green shoots emerge from the ground. Half a dozen of them are showing the yellow of (as-yet unopened) crocus petals.

This might be the worst photograph posted on Bluesky today, but I just wanted to record my #FirstCrocus sighting of 2026.

Hang on, fellow #SADsters. #Spring is coming. #Winter wanes. We can do this.
