Day 137: ACTIVE
#Lorenzo is still out there, but getting weaker. By tonight, it will essentially be dead as it remains a #fishstorm.
Something may flare up next week and move towards Central America, although nothing is certain at this time.

#FishStorm
Day 135: ACTIVE
#Lorenzo was formed this morning. It seemed like it came out of nowhere. But, good news for all, its another #fishstorm for us. It will remain a tropical storm all week with NO threat to U.S. land.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 133: ACTIVE
NHC Atlantic killed #Karen early this morning, it just killed #Jerry (which was forecast to be a hurricane at one point), and this orange wave (came up today) has a 40% chance to form over the next 7 days, but is likely another #fishstorm.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
So #Jerry was formed at 11am this morning as the 10th named storm of the season.
But, as luck has it and continues to be for us, it will be another #fishstorm.
Even as it becomes a hurricane by tomorrow, it will stay away.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 128: Something.
It looks like #Invest95L will become the next #Jerry, as soon as this week. A 90% chance to develop over the next seven days, though indications are that it'll be another #fishstorm for us.
Also, a yellow wave with a 10% chance.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 120: ACTIVE.
What a change a day makes. #Imelda is here, but will NOW stay away from a U.S. direct hit. Indirect impacts are still possible, but it will NO LONGER hit the U.S., meaning another #fishstorm. This is very good news!
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 118: ACTIVE.
#Humberto became a hurricane today. Its currently a MAJOR Cat. 3, but it will remain a #fishstorm for us.
We also have #PTC9, which is expected to become #TSImelda by Sunday. It won't hit SoFlo, but indirect impacts may still be felt.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 117: ACTIVE.
#Gabrielle is post-tropical, #Humberto is a #fishstorm for us, and future #Imelda could affect us indirectly but become a hurricane for Georgia and the Carolinas by next week.
We'll keep an eye on the indirect impacts from future #Imelda.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
#BREAKING: #TSHumberto has been formed—a #fishstorm for us but could become a hurricane by this weekend.
The 5pm Numbers:
Location: 20.1°N, 54.9°W.
550 miles E.N.E. of the N. Leeward Islands.
Max Winds: 40 mph.
Moving W.N.W. at 15 mph.
Pressure: 1008 mb.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 114: ACTIVE
Outside of #Gabrielle, two other waves are gaining steam.
Over the next seven days:
Red wave: 80%.
Orange wave: 50%.
The red one will more likely be another #fishstorm, while the orange one will be close. We'll monitor them both regardless.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
#BREAKING: #Gabrielle is now a MAJOR Cat. 4 hurricane.
Again, though, its a #fishstorm.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
#BREAKING: #Gabrielle is now a Cat. 1 Hurricane as of 5:00pm ET, only the second hurricane of the hurricane season. Also, its a #fishstorm.
Location: 28.5°N, 61.7°W.
320 miles S.E. of Bermuda.
Max Winds: 75 mph.
Moving N.N.W. at 10 mph.
Pressure: 992 mb.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 112: ACTIVE
#TSGabrielle could be a hurricane later tonight, if not tomorrow. Regardless, its officially a #fishstorm.
We're still at 20% over the next seven days for the yellow wave to form.
For right now, for SoFlo, the season remains quiet.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 111: ACTIVE.
#TSGabrielle is still a tropical storm, but is expected to become a hurricane by Sunday. Regardless, its a #fishstorm for us.
The yellow wave is stuck at a 20% chance to form, and for now, its no threat either.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 110: ACTIVE.
#TSGabrielle is out there, but NO threat to the U.S., so another #fishstorm for us.
The wave just coming off the African coast has a 20% chance to form within the next 7 days. Still far away from the U.S., so plenty of time to monitor.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
While it will become a hurricane by later this weekend into early next week, it will NOT affect South Florida whatsoever.
It looks like another #fishstorm, except for those in Bermuda.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 105: Something.
Chances have gone up on this potential wave to 60%.
While it is too early to tell, models indicate that it could move North before it reaches the islands. If so, it could be another #fishstorm.
We'll wait and see what happens.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 104: Something.
Chances have increased on this wave coming off the African coast to 40%.
Early indications are that this could be another #fishstorm, but its too early to say if that'll be the case.
For now, there's plenty of time to monitor.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 86: ACTIVE.
Good news. #Invest99L has died, and #Fernand remains a #fishstorm, meaning NO impacts for SoFlo for the foreseeable future.
We'll end August with nothing, but a reminder... the busiest month of the season, September, is next month. Stay tuned.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 85: ACTIVE.
#Fernand is out there but is mainly a #fishstorm.
The Yellow wave, #Invest99L, is down to 30% and will more likely become nothing at all.
In other words, we'll more likely end August without a tropical hit.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 84: ACTIVE.
We got ourselves #TSFernand now, but its another #fishstorm. It'll stay away from the U.S.
Another wave is only at 20% so we're looking good as we slowly approach the halfway mark of the hurricane season.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Here's the current forecast track for #Erin as of 11:00 a.m.
The turn is starting to take place, and therefore, it will begin to venture away from the U.S. East Coast and the Bahamas. Plus, it'll stay away from Bermuda, officially making this a #FishStorm.
