#LinuxTip #KDEtip --
Have an #Flatpak app that is refusing to obey your system "GTK+ Application Style" settings?
Use #FlatSeal and adjust the flatpak permissions for the app and give it access to everything in your $HOME directory.
Relaunch your app.
Then re-apply your #GKT+ Application […]
Sure, every other app on #Linux needs an explicit invite to use #Wayland via the environment (or by using #flatseal), that makes perfect sense, nobody wants crisp font rendering, why would they autodetect that in 2025 by default
SERIOUSLY
"Flatseal"
When installing applications with Flatpak, sometimes you need to give them access to files or functions on your PC.
Like Discord to share files, or your GPU for Prism Launcher.

What worked for me is:
Open flatseal (yes, specifically flatseal, not the included permissions program with KDE)
Scroll down to Other Files
Add the following in it's own box:
~/.var/app:rw
#steamdeck #syncthing #linux #flatseal
Weil ich das immer wieder gefragt werde, hab ich es jetzt mal aufgeschrieben. Wenn ein #Flatpak bestimmte Verzeichnisse nicht findet, ist die Lösung super einfach. #linux #flatseal #troubleshooting
