Strigeid metacercaria shenanigans continuing. Cysts were isolated from Erpobdella octoculata leeches. Polarized for visualization of double-layered cyst wall. One cercaria got out of the cyst, received mugshot as well. Barcoding primers are on the way. #parasitology #FlatwormFriday #invertebrate

SOI found Xenoturbella at methane seeps near the coast of Chile today. Lost socks available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c34..., I hope we will see more of them today. GBIF is negative on them in this area.I missed some papers or is this brand new location for them? 🌿 #invertebrate #FlatwormFriday 🧪

We visited Koda karst springs last weekend. It's home for several species of planarians and microturbellarians. On picture is adult specimen of Dugesia gonocephala, largest planarian species on that locality. #FlatwormFriday #invertebrates 📸 🌿
