US Flag with 15 Stars and Stripes flying over Fort McHenry, Maryland. This is a representation of the flag Francis Scott Key saw flying that inspired the Star Spangled Banner. The 2 extra Stars (and Stripes!) were added when Vermont and Kentucky became states, in addition to the original 13 colonies.
