Zarh has a hard time connecting to her at first since she's so cold and closed off, and he's not the most extroverted + she used to be Zenos's contract and that's really awkward especially with how much he feels like he failed Zenos lol. At first he wants to get closer so he can understand Zenos better. With time he sees a lot of himself in her in the way they both have trouble opening up to people, don't exactly have the strongest motivation beyond "survive", so they end up pretty good friends if not the closest. He ends up looking up to her a LOT as he watches her character growth thru the patches. He hopes he can be like her someday and be brave enough to grow into the hero he's supposed to be

Zarh feels a connection with the Hyth shade in Amaurot right away and fully believes the whole "new old friend" thing. Meeting the real one in the past gives him an extreme sense of homesickness. He's someone Zarh has an extreme soft spot for. Maybe not someone he can fully open up to yet but someone he wants to. Follows him around with puppy eyes and everything. Hyth and Azem were cousins* and best friends, everything Azem knows about Etheirys he learned from Hyth, they were extremely close and inseparable :') So ofc that carries over to Zarh some. I tend to think of Azem+Zarh as having a sorta parent-child vibe and Hyth would def treat Zarh like family once it's revealed he's not a familiar but a wholeass person.

* Yadda yadda Azem is actually an alien who took the body of an Ancient, the original Ouranos was Hyth's cousin, Hyth is one of the very very few people who know Azem's true identity (the others being Hades and Venat) and being accepted despite being an outsider is smth Azem appreciates beyond words

Zarh and Aulus didn't get to interact 1:1 much unfortunately bc Zarh had already defected from Garlemald by the time Aulus got into his position.... (I prob need to re-replay Stormblood to think of more opportunities though bc god I love Aulus) For Zarh it's definitely a "I SHOULD dislike him, he hurt my friends" but there's a fascination and a hope that if Aulus could just Look a bit he'd figure out what Zarh is and give him all the answers. Aulus would really just dissect him to see how he ticks bc he would probably have dug into some old files and found out Zarh is an allagan construct (which Zarh only finds out in Shadowbringers lol)

Dying is like Zarh's favorite pastime. Since he's virtually immortal and just gets back up after a bit. Notable deaths were the conquest of Ala Mhigo, then Praetorium, then the Zenos fight in Rhalgr's. Also at the edge of the universe in Endwalker (and that one was v nearly permanent)

Hemi's (center) parents were part of a cult and sacrificed him when he was a child in an attempt to summon a powerful voidsent. Unfortunately, the summoning goes sideways and kills everyone involved. The voidsent's soul fused with his and he's been "blessed" with her powers ever since.
