Fascinating: an Aurich MS (1549) of #Frisian law contains 2 tables for establishing compensation for wounds. Width, length, position of the wounds... In Frisia, measuring wounds to calculate compensation has been well-known practice ever since the 8C but I have never encountered such tables.
