“This is an egregious degradation of checks and balances. For anyone who has been waiting for "these illegal actions to work their way through the courts and then it will all be ok" here is your sign that that is NOT A GOOD PLAN.
“It is time to stand up.”

Bluesky post by Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor.bsky.social):
“SCOTUS, by Justice Alito, holds that it violates the religious exercise of parents for public schools to have LGBTQ+-inclusive storybooks without allowing parents to opt-out their children from seeing them.”
Bluesky post by John Perrino (@johnperrino.com):
“BREAKING: Supreme Court upholds state age verification law.
“Thomas for the majority:
“"The power to require age verification is within a State’s authority to prevent children from accessing sexually explicit content. H. B. 1181 is a constitutionally permissible exercise of that authority."”
So, in a single day, SCOTUS has killed lower courts’ ability to block illegal orders nationwide, allowed religious parents to shield their kids from any viewpoints they don’t like in school, and greenlit red states’ efforts to impose censorial, privacy-violating age restrictions across the Internet.
