🐵 "A Photo with the Monkey" (Fujifilm Fuji Eterna + D76) The Smena family, assembled. And suddenly — a monkey. Like in old photo attractions: a touch of circus, a hint of magic, a wink of irony. But the cameras still see. And so does she. A group portrait of four generations of Soviet scale-focus cameras “Smena”: the first, the third, the sixth, and the especially rare ninth. These models are more than devices — they are legends of mass photography, which made image-making accessible to everyone. Focusing was always “by eye” — using the distance scale on the lens, where the photographer chose: one meter, three, five, or infinity. This was the philosophy of the Smena: trust your own vision. And though their bodies belong to the last century, they are still alive. They still shoot. And the images they’ve captured will be shown soon.
