Sneaking in the last few minutes of #GardenSunday.

Starting off spring with these two beds out front. My lemongrass did not survive winter, but everything else did!

I also planted some Siberian Irises (Black Joker and Sugar Rush colors), and I ordered some Drawf Crested Irises to go with them. 🌱💚

I'm on a roll this week. I pulled up all the grass in this bed, and now it's ready for some partial-shade flowers of some kind.

I have my eye on Wild Blue Phlox and Dwarf Crested Iris! We'll see what I can obtain. 🌱💚

Today's cleanup involved getting this chicken wire out of this gnarly mushroom.

Pulled up some more "squiggly root" plants out of the bed and planted my milkweed seeds!

I'd read about folks putting them in water in the fridge before planting, and having success that way, so we'll see if it works.

Doing a harvest before cooler temps hit tonight. I don't think we will see a frost, I needed to start reaping my bounty!

Late planting of okra is starting to pay off! Will I get to harvest any to eat before frost comes?

This season I have successfully grown pie pumpkins! I at least 8 still growing including 2 that have become snacking stations for critters.

Early morning additions to #GardenSunday. My peppers are turning red, my herbs are hanging in (though the sweet basil is struggling) and Chive Snail is still my favorite.

Salvia & Lantana are the only plants that the voracious deer will leave alone out at the end of the driveway. All the others I have tried are decimated by the deer, even with repellent.
