Originally, I thought this was just a river polished slate. Nope, this is Tigerseye. The thick band at the top is the only vein that formed in the matrix. There's a partial, thicker band at the lower left but not enough light for it to show in the picture.

I'll be adding this stone to my #Hex materials collection. Why?

This specimen is mostly the asbestos that hasn't changed/ morphed into the classic stone we're familiar with for Tigerseye. Read alt text.

This my half of a Best Friends pendant. I hadn't seen it in decades. Buried in the contents of various random boxes over at least 7 moves over 28 years. I've only ever done this particular thing once in my entire life. It ended in deep betrayal. It stayed, but utterly out of sight until now. Just as I contemplate doing an unrelated Cord Cutting ritual, it literally showed back up. I recognized it immediately. I've attempted to clean up the oxidation but it's pretty set in. Corroded, just like that relationship itself. I think the spirit of the pendant is letting me know that it can help in the upcomomg ritual. It will hang on the cord between the two candles, representative of the energy of deep friendship lost. That it's ok to truly let go of what is gone. Once it has participated in the Cord Cutting ritual, I'll place it in my Hex materials box. It'll represent the ending of relationships that are unhealthy and need to end. Baneful, it'll force those endings, should the conditions be met. This "feels" right. That this is an honorable task for the pendant's spirit into the future. I'm at peace. Neither of these relationships are wounding me now. I got the lessons from them. I cherish the good memories/experiences, and recognize that the negative serve in my continuing personal growth. I just no longer need the energy ties now.

So, I'm considering a Cord Cutting ritual for a relationship that has truly ended. We've some serious energetic bonds though shared sex magic, as & others. It's time to cut, seal, & protect the cord placement within me.
