Yes the noxious fumes another good reason to #GetOffGas indoors.

Gas is no longer cheap. Keeping gas means two 'supply' charges.

If you can't live without a gas hob, you can have LPG plumbed in. I love our portable induction hob.

Space and water heaters are the biggest users of gas in most households. Electric alternatives far more efficient.

Vic has reduced overall gas consumption by 17% over the same time period but more needs to be done to avoid the shortages highlighted in the GSOO come 2029. Making gas cheaper will only make this worse.

It's weird that you're pushing to make gas cheaper here, which would result in increased gas powered electricity generation and reduce incentives to electrify household and biz.

Because of high gas prices and renewables, gas has gone from 8.4% of the NEM in FY20 to 5.0% in FY25.

Federal Tax reform to allow accelerated depreciation on all things solar and energy efficiency, as well as some sticks like minimum energy efficiency standards, would help.

Hydrogen Hopium can wait until we have excess renewables.

The logistics of collecting enough bio-material, processing it, and getting it into the gas grid would make the price prohibitive.
