The majority of the body of a mitten-in-progress knit in white wool as the base colour and semi-solid black/charcoal grey wool as the contrast colour. It's knit up to maybe an inch past the thumb gusset. The wrist from the bottom up: a small section of 1x1 rib, then a Latvian braid (a knitting technique that carries the yarn in front and twists it around itself to create horizontal "braids" in your knitting), a colourwork section made up of squares with white centres in the middle of diamonds created by a large crosshatch pattern, then another Latvian braid. The body from the wrist up: a geometric patterns made up of solid black and white alternating vertical half-diamonds with diamonds between them made up of alternating black and white stitches.

I've knit most of the first Boyfriend Mitten. I love how the pattern is coming together and the gentle variation in the grey yarn. I think these will turn out great. 🧶
