Poe's dad runs a small motel on the outskirts of Yavin, it doesn't make much money but it helps the community out especially in the summer, when the city is swarming with tourists looking for a place to spend the night. Poe comes by every year to stay in the motel, rest from his usual work and help out with the guests. This time he doesn't arrive alone, but with a curious ginger hitchhiker accompanied by an equally as ginger cat and a story Poe's desperate to squeeze out of him.

That's why he rejected Poe's advances as soon as they started, but here's the problem since then they became good friends and Poe's surprisingly… charming once you get to know him better and Hux's in deep shit because he's the one who has to make the first move now.
