Landscape photograph in portrait (tall) orientation. A view of an alpine lake looking down a short path at the edge of the forest. The lake is a classic cirque, bowl-shaped, with steep cliffs of gray rock on the far side. A few narrow streams work their way down the cliffside, from patches of snow in the surrounding mountains. The path between us and the lake is framed by some tall evergreens and dense brush. At the end of the path is a patch of bare dirt lakeside. There are a few small boulders on the shore, with one maybe 15 feet out in the water. A person stands on the boulder in the water, turned away from us. They're small, especially compared to the looming cliffs on the far shore, and we can't really make out any details.
