Continental Divide Trail Coalition logo Dear Friend of the CDT, We're excited to share big news for the Continental Divide Trail! This morning, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee voted to advance the Continental Divide Trail Completion Act. Now, the bill will move to the full Senate for consideration. The CDT Completion Act directs the Secretaries of Agriculture and the Interior to prioritize completion of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail within ten years of the bill’s enactment. By eliminating gaps between trail segments and relocating portions of the trail for a more scenic experience, this legislation will make the CDT safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable for all. Help us keep the momentum as we head into the new year!
