gleeful twins au Stanley comes home and jokingly questions Stanford on his studies but gets no response because Stanford is soldering something to ignore him

Stanford glorifies his new project without disclosing what it is to demean the perpetual motion machine that his brother admires - even if Stanley doesn't quite get what it is he defends it.

Stanley defends the machine again and Stanford insults him over it, drawing a clear line that the perpetual motion machine won't amaze geniuses and instead is just meager entertainment.

Stanley defends Stanford's work again even as Stanford ends the conversation with a cold "Now can you let me work?" turning his back on him and Stanley watches him, defiant and angry over Stanford insulting his own past work.
