Winter 1875: Steam Tug VIM tows a fishing schooner loaded with bait, Gloucester Harbor. I cleaned this one up a bit for an article I'm working on. Back then, Gloucester Harbor would freeze up and tugs would have to act as ice breakers.

I found a single Coryphella verrucosa
The shallows were so pretty as we were swimming in. I didn't get this shot quite right without a wide angle lens, but I did capture the sun beams.
Most of the Palio dubia we see are lighter in color, but the body of this one was dark.
Had a lovely dive at Folly Cove in Gloucester, Massachusetts this morning. We finally got a break with air temperatures in the 40s and bright sunshine. The visibility was amazing and the nudibranchs were out!

It was a beautiful sunny day for a dive in late October, but the critters were mostly in hiding. I did find a small short bigeye early in the dive, so I spent some time working on some different images.

One of the few frilled anemones at Folly Cove this year. This particular spot in the cove typically has a few dozen, but I could only find one.
Late September dive at my favorite shore diving site. Not a ton of critters out, but there's always something to photograph.
