#parkrun said ‘Wear it Wild’ in celebration of #WWFEarthDay & to ‘slip on some leopard print’, so I did at Catford! Surprisingly the quickest time of 2026. Course check before, chasing round trees with a 3 year old & doing hopscotch with a #BigIssue seller after. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

This week’s very slow ‘long’ run was around 11k along the Thames Path to Charlton (several bail out points were included, I took the 3rd & got the bus home). Had a break to potter around the ‘beach’ at Anchor & Hope Wharf - one of my favourite bits of the Thames. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

Tried to get my body to remember running at a faster pace, with 7 ‘intervals’ of a minute at last year’s 5k pace around Sutcliffe Park. Afterwards Bonnie the swan wondered where I had hidden the food. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

A lovely 7k run round across the Heath and through Greenwich Park’s Flower Garden. The first 1.5k up to the Heath were a wheezy struggle but the rest felt easy & getting back to normal. On the 🎧 Fontaines DC so there was much singing, arm waving and strange looks. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

Another wheezy Catford #parkrun but better than recent weeks and the fastest time for a couple of months. Easy winner of the Rymans Challenge - runner most like a piece of stationery - went as a neon highlighter. Those who were stationary got volunteering credits. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

It was a painfully slow, leaden legged 10k to Sutcliffe Park as my body gets over another setback (what was probably Norovirus last week). But it just felt great to be out in the sun with the newish album from The Cribs on the 🎧.

It was pacing week at Catford #parkrun, I had a slightly bigger number than normal on my back - there were a couple two PBs as a result. Wednesday was t shirt weather, but it was back to a winter base layer for Catford #parkrun. A bit less wheezy than last week, so a minute or so quicker, winning the Jerry Lee Lewis trophy for the best ‘Great Balls of Fire’ themed outfit. Course check before.

After not being ill for 6 years (including Covid) I was convinced I had an immune system of steel, particularly considering my line of work 🚑

This cold is refusing to go completely though and running feels sooo hard 😫 90 mins run/walk was all I could manage today.

A delightful 16k run on the trails of Scadbury Park, Petts Wood, Hawkwood and Jubliee Country Park. I probably walked another 2k more as there were lots of icy sections. 86 dogs @ 5.4 dpk, 3 of which seemed to want to adopt me. Five friendly bears too! #GreenRunners #JogDivision #RunningPunks
