🪨Sea urchins can be spotted carrying around objects, like rocks and shells!🐚
🤔Some theories for this put it down to camouflage from predators🐟, or protection from the sun's UV rays☀️

Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis: Green Sea Urchin ISO6400 55mm 0ev f/11 @ 1/80s
I was selfishly on the hunt for them, when my loving wife with her child-like wonder, spotted them; it was all good fun.

A Green Sea Urchin attached to the viewing window of a tide tank. Tube feet are attached to the window and the central Aristotle lantern opening is visible.
The #AtlanticOcean #GreenSeaUrchin is light green with pink to purple tentacles and spines. Sea urchins use tube feet to move along the ocean floor eating algae. The #AristotleLlantern, is five-sided mouthlike opening. Green Urchin spines can still cause distress if the skin is punctured.
