Gods, I didn’t even get to say goodbye.” Moro'a closed his eyes, feeling his own tears slip free. Not even the Warrior of Light could heal a lance through the heart. Guydelot had held Sanson in his lap, cradling the light of his life in his arms as though nothing else in the world had mattered. Moro'a had torn his gaze away after a while; it was all too much, too achingly familiar.
