Long shadows and morning light - spring is coming (but we all know winter isn't gone yet either).

Piece of corn husk that I found on the floor. I screwed with my crop a lot to get a composition that looked interesting. The shape of the thing already was interesting, the question was how to best show it.

I was trying to get a nice "things I find on the ground" picture, but Mirabel decided that it needed to be a Mirabel picture and it's useless to argue.

Stripe of blue peeking through the clouds this morning. I got it to pop out like this without any masking. I think the picture fails at showing how cool the rest of the clouds look, but I guess they weren't really the focus.

Went to the park Sunday with the boy, the dog and a camera. I got a lot of photos but this one stood out to me more than the others.

Icescapes. I took these two nights ago, so they're probably gone by now.

Walking around photo - this is that same creek on Chester, from the other side, and a bit earlier in the day.

Little creek at Buhrman and Chester around sundown tonight. Looks like there's at least a little ice on it still

Oliver is a Holland Lop that we've had since he was a few weeks old. Oliver possesses an inexplicable hatred of Meghan. If you don't believe a rabbit can seeth with rage, watch Oliver if Meghan comes by. Bunnies are weird.

Foggy morning and I got out of the house early enough to drive around and get some pictures.

Glacial meltwaters pass under a disintegrating ice dam. Taken on the Western slope of the Immssinnwitju Volcano, Iceland.

The difference between a boring view and an interesting one can be as simple as moving your head. Same puddle, same time of day, same processing settings - different angles.

here's a spot of morning light, coming through a window and into the school's kitchen, landing on the label and galvanized steel of the back of an oven.

Torgo, largest of our baby snails. Torgo is whichever snail is the largest one visible at a given time. If you see him and then see a larger snail, that snail is now Torgo and old Torgo becomes Bolczyk, Balthazar, Costromo, Hastur or Phil, your choice.

Here's Everleigh. She's hiding under my daughter's bed. A moment later, the other cat started fighting with the dogs so she ran away to go spectate anxiously.

Found an ATM receipt barely frozen in a puddle. It got fancier looking the lower the angle was. Pretty great sky reflections.

There's cool looking, thick, rusty, old steel cables lining the school's parking lots. Gotta love that texture!

A few more snow and ice pics. I hope you can see the look or feeling that I saw when I took them

Icicles on the building behind us. #haglundphotos #photographersonbluesky #icicles
Mirabel was a small puppy when we got her and Estella was already a full grown cat. Even though Mirabel is now roughly five times Estella's size, she still treats her a little like a mom/sister. Like walking over to her to get groomed. They also play fight and it looks...dangerous.

Today's at-my-feet find is this clothespin that was near the dumpster in the back parking lot at the school. When it comes to finding random trinkets and things on the ground, I am really starting to think that I am, in a spiritual sense, a raccoon or crow.

Icicles near the kitchen door at the high school.

Flipped over step stool being cackles at the futility of biological life.

Here's one of our tiny baby snails, along with a TINY baby snail from a later clutch. The little ones will ride around on the big ones. The big ones don't realize that the little ones are there, so you get an "elderly driver plows through the farmer's market" thing.

Last night, Meghan was cold and sent me to get her blanket for her. Burton was laying on it and I felt bad for making him move so I wrapped him up in my blanket to make up for it.

Zoe shows off her morning oats. The buns get a few oats each morning for breakfast. You might notice that she is wearing some of her breakfast. This is normal. After you start dropping oats in their bowl but before you finish, a rabbit will materialize between.
