After Mount William, I went to Halls Gap and saw a number of kangaroos, along with a few emus!
This area wasn't affected by fires thankfully, as I drove past this very area last Saturday, and like below, there were a lot of kangaroos!

3/4 The second half of our hike today was all downhill, through forests, into the centre of Halls Gap. Once we started to descend, we seem to have walked down hundreds (if not thousands) of rocky steps!

Today we walked 19.5 km/12 miles along the Grampians Peaks Trail, including a climb to the top of Mount Gar, with the whole hike taking just over 5 hours.
