Cattle Point Lighthouse is situated on a point overlooking the Haro Strait. While hiking that part of San Juan Island, I saw bald eagles, harbor seals and sea lions, and a variety of birds flocking in unison to the island sounds.

Our acoustic monitoring station at #LimeKiln recorded a magnitude 4.5 earthquake 03/03/25 at 05:02 a.m.! The epicenter was located 30 km away on the east coast of Orcas Island & the earthquake was loud enough underwater to cause audio clipping (remove headphones!)
