Observant plumber felt the need

From the male pipe containing seed
Damaging the household next door
But this thoughtfulness made them bleed

"Ma, I managed to stop the water flow," she grimaced at her mom's nagging over the phone.
"You called who? You, of all people, know I don't help in fixing things" the doorbell cut her off, followed by a familiar whistling she knew by heart, opening the door to her best friend of 15 years.

Uncle Louie crouched under the sink, muttering about a loose valve. “You switched dish soap brands,” he said without looking up. “Smells like lavender now. Somebody’s stressed.” He paused. “And whose shoes are those by the door? Size 12. New boyfriend?”
“Louie, just fix the pipe.”

"Ya know I noticed that ya had a extra support beam in place while in the attic. Right over the bedroom." He said, tightening the wrench on some pipes. He enjoyed watching his friends turn red, knowing full well what that beam is used for.
He couldn't help but fuck with them.

“Who’s ready to watch The Mingler?” Jen asked, holding a bottle.
“Wine? You angel,” Terry said.
Jen stopped moving, eyes glazing over. “You have a leak in the kitchen. I’ll get my tools.”
Terry sighed. Last time Jen’s plumb-senses kicked in, she installed two new toilets and a “mega-bidet.”

“We were in here for two minutes last night, and you noticed the drip?” Jimmy asked. Alan dried his hands on blue roll. “Sure, I can hear a leaky trap from another room.” He cleared away, through Jimmy’s protests. “You did me a favour, don’t clean up, I’ll do it.” “Can’t mate it’s just drilled into me. Have to clean up after mysen. Don’t want to leave a customer with that bad impression.” Alan let his weight shift backwards. “How are you doing?” Jimmy shuffled. “I’m fine Al, better now I know the plumbing’s all good.” He forced a laugh. “Jim mate, I could feel the tension last night. How are you doing?” Jim sighed. “You’re right, things are going bad.”
"Hi, I'm here to fix the pipes." Cosmo bit his lower lip. He found it hilarious breaking into Gibson's film shooting.
"Cosmo, what are you doing here?" Vargas said.
"Just an overly observant plumber who's a friend of the family. I know your pipes broke. I should lay mine's." He winked. #hbp72
Bob and Marla were speechless. "The plumbing job--free?"
Dan the Plumber slapped them both on the back. "Yeah, it's the least I could do, being friends. Cleaning out the bathtub fixtures. What a mess." Then he leaned in close. "But let me tell ya, keeping the murder quiet's gonna cost ya."

He'd been in many homes and he knew all the signs.
He'd see the small things one too many times.
From under sinks to behind toilet seats, he was the silent watcher.
Though his duty was to the pipe, it was his honour.
Once when he visited his friends, he knew.
He readied to help fix them, too.

The plumber tightened the last bolt and glanced around.
“Spot’s been sneaking onto the couch. Amy’s drinking more—wine rack’s nearly empty. And you? Haven’t slept well in weeks.”
Tim stiffened. “You’re here to fix the sink.”
The plumber smiled. “Leaks don’t just come from pipes.”

Susan answered the door. A button was missing from her dress, there was a run in her stockings, and her hair was messy.
"Thanks for coming in a rush, John," she said as she led me in, the smell of coffee and sewage on the air.
Susan seemed to have had company, too bad Ted was out of town.
Damn, Chuck's nosy. My own fault. Plumber's are expensive. He gives me family discount. Does he need to tell all our friends the things he found when he snaked out our drain? How embarrassing.

The teen turned to look at her.
“What would you know? He’s— we, I mean—“
“Maggie, you’re not pregnant. You’ll see in a couple days. And we both know Sarah told the truth about his drugs.”
Maggie shifted nervously.
"Can't we get someone else?" pleaded Daisy.
"But we've been friends forever," her husband replied, "besides, he's a good plumber."
"The last time, he told me I needed more fiber. That's creepy."
