An interesting entry into #StarTrek history to be sure. And viewers of #HereComeTheBrides maybe never got any closure when the show was canceled after only 2 seasons. So anyone itching for a resolution, this is probably the best they're going to get.
Cover art of the Star Trek novel Ishmael by Barbara Hambly. Spock dressed in 1800s attire sits beside Jason Bolt, a human in similar attire. Both are sitting at what appears to be a roulette table. Either that, or the 1800s competitive checkers scene is more elaborate than I would expect. Spock has his arms crossed in front of him, and is grimacing in a way that seems to imply revolution. A woman stands behind them in a sleeveless dress with frilled shoulders. I still don't know who she is, but I'm guessing Lottie Hatfield. Although she never went with them to San Fancisco, and the only woman they interacted with there was Sarah Gay, but this doesn't match her attire. This image was from Memory Beta, and omits a tag-line that I have on the cover of my copy reading "The Enterprise has only a few baffling clues to find Spock- somewhere in the past!"
Finished "Ishmael" by Barbara Hambly. This was interesting, because it's something of a back-door crossover with "Here Come the Brides", another TV show that would have been a rough contemporary of Star Trek in the '60s. And one that I had never heard of before. #StarTrek #HereComeTheBrides
