Spencer Butte trail going through snow-covered bushes
Spencer Snow Surprise goatbells.blog?p=687
The snow surprised everybody. For the first 2-3 hours it rained, snowed, rained, snowed, … the further up the hill, the deeper the snow-maybe 3 inches at Spencer top - gorgeous!

NOAA snow depth overlayed on GaiaGPS map of Hardesty Mt
Is NOAA snow data messed up?
I hiked Hardesty Mt today - to the summit, and there was 0 snow - not even a patch - anywhere. But the NOAA data shown on GaiaGPS is wrong - really wrong!
I walked thru that blue section.
Anybody else with this issue? I can't trust this data.

Peek-a-boo view from Hardesty to South Sister and Broken Top
Quick up / down Hardesty Mt goatbells.blog?p=676
Hardesty Mt trail is the oldest trail in this USFS district best for grey, cloudy days or when you need a hill to kick your butt.
1 human, 1 dog and trees - MTB's should avoid; if you must - use upper TH and take Eula Ridge
