A really good book so far. Love that each chapter is based on the descendents of the previous, and I've learned a lot on the history of slavery. Recommend!

Maame was one of my favourite names in #Homegoing, especially given her significance in the story. Saw a book titled Maame, by a different author, and wanted to read off the name alone. I… wanna fight whoever taught me to read. I’m so tempted to DNF. This ain’t Maame energy at all
