Participated on a wonderful panel at #housingcentral about #housing policy as it relates to non market development. We had as many laughs as serious commentary. The session was packed. As I prepared, I forced myself to look at BC’s housing trajectory from 10K feet. What I saw🧵
🏘️ At #HousingCentral, Metro Vancouver hosted a site tour of Kingston Gardens in Surrey — a newly completed redevelopment with 85 rental homes. Features include accessible design, energy-efficient construction, and community spaces.

The last 3 days at #HousingCentral have been fantastic (although I must admit I’ve been a little distracted since Monday!). This morning we had a truly excellent keynote from @harrisonmooney.bsky.social with his great telling of Black history in BC, including his new portmanteau Hegemonologue!

Big terrifying keynote speech this morning on my very personal connection to Black history in BC for #HousingCentral. Will I forget how to read? Probably not. Nevertheless the anxiety persists
